Last Thursday, me and my husband spent the day in Boston! We had such a fun time! We went to the New England Aquarium, the MetroRock Gym, and had dinner with a couple of friends at the Beehive! Check out some of our photos from the Aquarium!!
On Saturday, I was so happy to finally see one of my very closest friends! Me and Missi traveled to Australia together, when we were in high school, and didn’t really connect until the trip was over. Unfortunately, we didn’t stay in touch after the trip. Oddly enough, just a year later, when we started college at UMF, we were both in the same chemistry class! We both ended up at the same university, and dance team!! It was such a surprise, but it was so neat how it happened! We didn’t really hang out much or anything that first year, but that second year we were roommates, and the rest is history! We roomed together for two years until I got married, and she moved out of state, but we’ve kept in touch and made it a point to make frequent visits with each other 🙂
I love this girl right to death, and we just get each other. I can’t imagine life without her!! She and Eric have one beautiful little boy, and another on the way! When she was pregnant with Lukas, we did some maternity photos at seven months, and the very next day, Lukas was born! Now, she’s five months pregnant with Hayden James, and I can’t wait to meet him! I FINALLY got some photos, as I haven’t gotten any of him since he was three weeks old, despite our many visits. It was long overdue! Check out some photos of this beautiful blue-eyed boy 🙂
See? Just beautiful!!
Me and his mom played with his blocks more than he did!!
Oh how I love these two!!
Classic Missi faces 🙂
He really enjoyed being outside and just walking in circles! He was full of smiles!
We decided to snap a few photos of her and Hayden, just in case he decided to come early again, before we do maternity photos in April!
I love this one!!
It took us a few shots to get this one on the bottom, but, I love it! Best friends 4-eva!!
So, last week was week seven in my 52 weeks of FUN photo challenge. However, I was not able to get to capture a photo. At first I was bummed, thinking I had failed, but in reality, life takes over sometimes, and last week was a pretty rough week for me. Therefore, this challenge was put on the back burner. I realized that it’s okay. I can just move on, and try to do better for all the upcoming weeks. I can’t be superwoman all the time :p
Anyway, this week is #8: Numbers. I am a planner. To an extreme. I even plan when I get to relax. I like to schedule everything and know when everything is happening. Granted, I don’t always follow my schedule, but at least I put in the effort to maximize my productivity! This is the same with our budget. I handle all the bills and finances, because then I know exactly what is going on. I’m always writing out budgets on random scraps of paper to figure out if we can really splurge and go out to eat, or something like that. I’m good with budgets. Those I can follow 🙂
This is a snapshot of just a random time earlier this week or late last week when I was crunching numbers in my planner!
This past weekend, me and Steven went back to the Bangor area to visit with friends and family for a few days. One of my favorite parts of these last four days is when we had our homemade pasta luncheon! Steven’s parents got us a pasta maker for Christmas, and we have used it at least once a week since we opened the box!
It was basically just our parents, Steven’s sister, and his best friend, there that day. However, we were the only ones who had ever had homemade pasta before! My mom took my camera and was taking photos like crazy (see where I get it from?!) while me and Steven were making pasta!
We probably had enough dough to feed a small army. That may be an exaggeration, but only just a little – there was enough to feed a LOT of people!!
Me and Steven love making our own pasta because it’s fresh, and we know exactly what we’re putting into our bodies. This really goes along with a new theme in my life of being super health conscious and putting good things into my body. Pasta is something we totally enjoy making and eating!
Beautiful photos of hiking and other outdoor adventures.
