What to wear!

I can’t even count the number of times that I have booked a shoot and am then asked “What should I wear!”  I like to photograph real things, so, my answer usually is something along the lines “whatever you’re comfortable in,” so that way I am photographing the real YOU. 🙂   Therefore, I’ve decided to provide a few tips on what to wear to your session!

BE YOURSELF: Trying too hard to look like someone else will definitely show in your photos, especially to all of those who know you! Wear you, the real you. The photos I take of you aren’t about what you wear, but about making and capturing memories of your life. The true expressions on your face, the comfort you exude, and the fun you have are what it’s all about. Dressing like “you” will help your photos seem more real.

BE COMFORTABLE:  The most important part of having awesome photos is being sure that you are dressed in a way that feels comfortable to you. If you’re not comfortable, you will look uncomfortable in your photos.

DON’T OVERDO IT:  Just relax. Everyone doesn’t need to be wearing matching outfits, or have a certain look. The emotion in your photos is more important than everyone looking just right. On that note, if you are dying to have custom photography with everyone in matching white shirts and jeans, — then go for it! 🙂

ACCESSORIZE: Accessories are my best friend! They provide so many more opportunities for photos that really exude your personality! Jackets, fun belts, bracelets, rings, earrings, guitars, records, special watches, scarves… I think you get the picture 🙂

HAVE FUN! This one is pretty self-explanatory 🙂 Let’s face it, with me around, that’s not an issue 😀
